Block parties are a fun way to get to know your neighbors. The Village of New Lenox issues permits for all block parties. Before issuing these permits, however, we ask that a representative of the neighborhood complete the Block Party Application.
As part of the application, we ask that you get all of the residents' signatures and addresses who live along the street that will be closed for the Block Party. In our Block Party Application form, we ask that you provide the date of the party, the street to be closed, the start time and finish time of the party along with a brief description of the event.
In addition, applicants are asked to obtain Fire Department Approval before submitting the application to the Village. Our Street Department will drop off the necessary street barricades prior to the party and will collect the barricades the Monday after the party.
