About Us:
New Lenox Community Television (Channel 6) is a volunteer based organization dedicated to covering the happenings of our town. We are a group of approximately 20 people who go to various government meetings, school activities, and special events to record, and then broadcast it to the Village and Township Comcast subscribers. We even produce a few recurring programs like "In New Lenox" , "Getting to Know Your Local Government", and "In the American Kitchen". We are always looking for fresh ideas and new people. Everyone is welcome.

Guidelines for Submission:

NLCTV is always looking for videos from the community.  However we are not ABC and we do have a few limitations.

Limitations:

• Not all DVD’s are universally compatible, we do our best but we cannot guarantee anything.
• Music cannot be copyrighted.  In other words, if you hear it on your radio, it cannot be on Channel 6.
• All people on screen have to be in a public place, or have written permission for use of their image. 
• Video and Audio are both required!
• Nothing but G rated videos.
• Quicktime, DV, mini VHS, Hi8, BetaMax, Cave Drawings, etc. are handled on a case-by-case basis. 
• We review everything before it airs, we do our best to be timely however we are volunteers, which brings us too…

Guidelines for Membership

NLCTV is always looking for fresh faces.  Whether you’re talent or a techie the more the merrier.  We are constantly working on new projects, looking for ideas, or continuing some of our legacy shows. 

It’s a great way to try new things, get some experience, and meet new people.  New Lenox residency is preferred, but exceptions have been made in the past.  If interested email us at nlctv@comcast.net.

We also have a monthly meeting for all the volunteers on the third Thursday of every month, so feel free to stop by.  Also we have recurring classes that range from newbie to expert.  It does not matter what experience (if any) you bring to the table, we have a spot for you.
