All contractors and sub-contractors doing work within the Village must be registered with the Village.  No building permit will be issued for work to be done in the Village involving any contractor who is not registered.  Contractors can register with the Village by submitting $150.00, proof of liability and workmen's compensation insurance, and a $10,000 license and permit bond with their completed contractor's registration application.  Any contractor working in the public right of way must contact the Village Engineer prior to beginning work.  For more information on this program, or to find out if the contractor you are contemplating using has registered, please call the Building Department at 815-462-6490 during normal working hours.
