All yardwaste must be contained in either are 33-gallon brown paper bag, specifically designed for yard debris with a Nu-Way disposal yardwaste sticker affixed to each bag, or may be placed in a 90-gallon cart. For pricing information, please call the Nu-Way office at

Branches may be cut into 3' or 4' lengths, no larger than 6" in diameter, and placed into the bags or tied into reasonable sized bundles. Each bag and or bundle must have a yardwaste sticker attached for the material to be collected.

No plastic bags or any household garbage or wrappings should be mixed in the yardwaste bags or carts. We will not be able to collect any yardwaste containers that have these contaminants in them.

Yardwaste will be collected one time per week on the same day as your household waste from April 1 through November 30.

Free Leaf Pick-Up Period

Each fall there will be an 8 week period, to be determined by the Village Board, when leaves which are bagged in 33 gallon yardwaste bags will not require a yardwaste sticker. These bags are collected by Nu-Way on the same day as your regular garbage and recycling collection. The 8-week leaf collection where stickers are not required on yardwaste bags filled with leaves coincides with the annual end-date of landscape waste facilities' season.

Leaf Bags for Senior Citizens

Our senior citizen residents who live in their own homes will also benefit as part of our refuse contract. Seniors (those over the age of 65) will be provided with 10 free yardwaste bags per Fall per household. Each Fall, senior citizens may come to the Village Hall to receive their free yardwaste bags. The Village requests that the senior residents bring in some form of identification and fill out a simple form when they come to pick up their yardwaste bags
