About the Triple Play Concert Series

The Triple Play Concert Series was started by Mayor Baldermann in the summer of 2009.  An annual concert series held in the New Lenox Commons, its purpose is to provide entertainment for the residents of New Lenox and raise revenue to help fund the special events that New Lenox hosts throughout the year.  These events have included movie nights, free concerts, Kids Fest, Christmas in the Commons, and much more.  


In the past we have had such great acts as:

2019:  Cheap Trick, Joan Jett and The Blackhearts, Blue Öyster Cult, and Kenny Loggins

2018: Melissa Etheridge, Dennis Quaid & The Sharks, Chris Isaak, The Ides of March, Bruce Hornsby and the Noisemakers, and Joan Osborne

2017: Richard Marx, The Tubes, BoDeans, The Smithereens, Collective Soul, Gin Blossoms, Barenaked Ladies, and Living Colour

2016: Daughtry, Huey Lewis & The News, The Wallflowers, Buddy Guy, Michael McDonald, and Chicago


2015: Kenny Loggins, Steve Miller Band, and Lynyrd Skynyrd


2014: Pat Benatar, Neil Giraldo, John Waite, Peter Frampton, 10,000 Maniacs, 38 Special, and The Fabulous Thunderbirds featuring Kim Wilson

 

2013: Rick Springfield, Foreigner, and Bad Company

2012: Styx, Heart, and Night Ranger

2011: REO Speedwagon, Cheap Trick, and Jefferson Starship

2010: Kansas, Blue Oyster Cult, Soul Asylum, Smithereens, Fast Ball and Survivor


2009: Peter Frampton, Gin Blossoms, and Blues Traveler
