The Planning and Development Department handles various inquiries concerning zoning, land use and development, including comprehensive planning, zoning ordinance drafting and enforcement, and development review functions.  

The Planning and Development Department coordinates all development applications through the Plan Commission, Zoning Board of Appeals and Village Board. The Planning and Development Department is also responsible for long-term studies and reports, including the Village’s Comprehensive Plan.
