The New Lenox Safe Community Coalition and Guardian Angel Community Services are offering a FREE virtual program titled “Teen Dating Violence: What Trusted Adults Should Know."
This virtual presentation helps raise awareness about teen dating violence in support of Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month, and will be held on Tuesday, February 24, 2026 starting at 7pm.
This program will define teen dating violence, discuss the different types of domestic violence relationships, define abusive behavior, explain why some victims remain in abusive relationships, share myths surrounding domestic violence and provide information regarding available resources.

Johanna graduated from Benedictine University in Lisle, IL with a Bachelors of Arts in Sociology in 2003. She volunteered at Guardian Angel Community Services’ Sexual Assault Service Center for one and a half years before making the decision to join the Domestic Violence Program as an employee.
Johanna is a Domestic Violence Prevention Education Specialist, which includes providing education on the issue of Domestic Violence.
