Mental Health 101: Tips and Tricks for a Healthy Mind

New Lenox Safe Community Coalition and New Lenox School District 122 to Host Free Mental Health Presentation

The New Lenox Safe Community Coalition, in partnership with New Lenox School District 122, invites community members to attend a FREE presentation titled “Mental Health 101: Tips and Tricks for a Healthy Mind.”

The presentation will take place on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Community Room at the Village of New Lenox Village Hall, 1 Veterans Parkway, New Lenox, IL 60451.

This informative session will explore practical ways to reduce the stigma surrounding mental health, offer tools for managing personal mental well-being, and provide strategies to effectively support others. Community members are encouraged to attend and take advantage of this valuable opportunity to strengthen their understanding of mental health and wellness.

About the Presenter

The presentation will be led by Marie Goulet, LCSW, Lead Social Worker for New Lenox School District 122 and building social worker for Oakview Intermediate School. Marie brings more than 20 years of experience in both community mental health and school settings. Over the course of her career, she has served in several leadership roles, including Assistant Director of Special Education at NLSD #122 and Principal of Mackay Education Center.

Marie is passionate about providing direct support to students and families and has extensive experience addressing trauma, anxiety, and intensive student behaviors. Her expertise and dedication make this presentation a valuable resource for parents, educators, and community members alike.
