Garage Sales

Any owner or occupant of a dwelling unit may conduct not more than a total of two garage sales (also known as patio sales, basement sales, yard sales, rummage sales, lawn sales, driveway sales, etc.) during any twelve consecutive months. Such sales shall not extend more than three days and shall be limited to household goods and furnishings which have been in use in the dwelling unit located on the premises on which sales are conducted, or which have been in use in another dwelling unit in the same community. No merchandise purchased for intentional sale or resale may be sold at a garage sale.

Sign Regulations

  • No more than three signs may be erected.
  • No sign shall exceed 24 feet by 36 feet in size.
  • No sign shall be placed on private property without the permission of the property owner.
  • No sign shall be placed closer than 15 feet from the edge of the pavement, or in areas where sidewalks are existing, signs shall be placed a minimum of 2 feet beyond the private property side of the edge of the sidewalk.
  • No sign shall be allowed to remain for a duration of more than 4 days.
